Mavericks Move on to Championship Cup Friday, October 7th , 2022 The Houston (R) Mavericks are off to the Championship Cup after an exciting Cup Qualifier triumph. Houston (R) downed the Washington (R) Warriors, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 7-5 win tonight at PBC Rookie Development Complex wrapping up the series 3-2. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Damason Quintanilla, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. Quintanilla put up a .588 with a .588 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 5 runs and scored 6 runs himself.
