Season May Be Over for Pilots Chavarria Monday, September 5th , 2022 Marco Chavarria of the Pilots just might have to call it quits for the season. The 19-year-old Atlanta (R) reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Philadelphia (R) Keystones recently at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Chavarria suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch. The Pilots medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 13 months. This season, Chavarria has made 14 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 3-3 won-lost mark and a 2.94 ERA. In pitching 67.1 innings, he has totaled 64 strikeouts and 15 walks. |
