Atlanta (R)'s Ortega Top R Batter in August Thursday, September 1st , 2022 At only 19 years of age, Gil Ortega could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Atlanta (R) Pilots, as August was one to remember for the first baseman and he has captured the PBC Rookie Complex League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .430 with 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and 17 runs scored. Hitting .361 to date, Ortega has 20 home runs and 59 RBIs. He has played in 58 games. |
