Denver (R) Loses Jeff James Monday, August 29th , 2022 The Cutthroats received bad news this morning. Jeff James will miss 4-5 months due to a torn back muscle. He sustained the injury in the Denver (R)-Washington (R) game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," James sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This season, James has 6 saves. In 22 relief appearances he has tossed 35.1 innings, struck out 50 and issued 23 walks with a 3-1 record. The Denver (R) reliever has recorded a 3.82 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .227 when he is in the game. |
