Juarez Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Tuesday, August 16th , 2022 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Union-Lions game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Chicago (R) center fielder Chris Juarez thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Chicago (R) to a win, 17-7, over St. Louis (R). "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Juarez said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Juarez, who is tied for 5th in the R in extra base hits with 27, was 6-for-6 on the day with 8 RBI. Chris Juarez doubled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Luis Flores in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Tovar in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off David Estevez in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Juarez is hitting .333 this season with 14 home runs, 50 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 64 hits in 192 at-bats. |
