Perkins Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, August 7th , 2022 New York City (R) center fielder Jason Perkins had a big day at PBC Rookie Development Complex against the Boston (R) Shamrocks. The 19-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 8-4 Blues triumph over Boston (R). "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Perkins said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Jason Perkins singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
