Just ask Omar Sanchez of the Providence Grays -- the latest Eastern Amateur Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award winner. "My dad always told me to dream big and dream always," he said. The Grays pitching ace made some of his dreams come true this year, winning 16 games and losing only 7. In 28 starts, Sanchez registered a 3.22 ERA and limited other clubs to a .244 batting average. He fanned 199 in 198.1 innings and issued 77 walks. He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 20. David McKay of the Brooklyn Atlantics finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Jon Santo of the Fort Wayne Farmers finished third.
