Brooklyn's Martinez Sidelined for Season Sunday, August 28th , 2022 Ruben Martinez has to call it a season. The Brooklyn Atlantics reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Franklin Knights and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Martinez was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as bone chips in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 6-7 months. Martinez has nailed down no saves for the year. He has also totaled 6 strikeouts and 2 walks in 7.1 innings while registering a 1.23 ERA and a 0-0 won-lost record. |
