Providence Won't Make Playoffs Sunday, August 28th , 2022 The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Providence Grays has been extinguished, at least for 2022. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today. Asked to comment on the news, Grays manager Bill Flohrs issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN. The Grays have missed the playoffs 12 times in their 20 years as a Amateur Baseball Circuit franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2018. In the last 10 seasons, the Grays have missed the playoffs 5 times. Providence last won the Amateur Circut Cup in 2016. |
