Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for St. Petersburg Sunday, August 7th , 2022 The St. Petersburg Pelicans have struggled throughout this season and now they have officially been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "Obviously we knew things had not been going to smoothly, but this still stinks," said second baseman Roger Rivas The Pelicans have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 15 years as a Amateur Baseball Circuit franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 9th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2013. St. Petersburg has won the Amateur Circut Cup 3 times in their history. |
