Bad News for San Diego, Gabe Hogue Hurt Friday, July 15th , 2022 The doctors have spoken and Gabe Hogue of the San Diego Aztecs didn't like what he heard. The 33-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hogue sustained his season-ending injury during the Yuma Gnomes game yesterday at Yuma Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the San Diego medical staff reported Hogue had radial nerve compression and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months. This year, Hogue has registered 5 saves in 27 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 2-8 won-lost mark with a 6.45 ERA. In 44.2 innings he has fanned 44. |
