Alexander Twirls No-Hitter Against Providence Saturday, July 2nd , 2022 The Manchester Monarchs had a lot to celebrate as 26-year-old hurler Matt Alexander no-hit the Providence Grays at Providence Field. In an impressive outing that keyed the 7-0 Monarchs victory, Alexander had 10 strikeouts and surrendered 3 walks. "He mixed his pitches well and hit his spots, plus he got a little help from above," said Manchester manager Leon Fontein. "Matt really took it to another level today."
