Motors Advance to Cup Qualifier Wednesday, October 5th , 2022 Huibert Zwiers said he expected the Play-in Series to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Detroit Motors encountered little resistance in sweeping the St. Louis Lions, to advance to the Cup Qualifier. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Zwiers. Detroit won the final game by a 3-1 count and were led in the series by Zwiers, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .462 with 2 home runs. He also drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Cup Qualifier matchups and schedule will be announced after the Play-in Series finishes.
