Done Deal: Jansen for Reid Monday, August 1st , 2022 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Boston Shamrocks and Dallas Texans finalized a trade today. Boston will send 30-year old RHP Gart Jansen to the Texans, while the Shamrocks will receive 22-year old minor league LHP Paul Reid. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Shamrocks general manager Wally Christensen said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. This year, Jansen has registered 3 saves in 8 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 1-6 won-lost mark with a 7.71 ERA. In 49 innings he has fanned 44. |
