Whalen, Cepeda Swap Teams Wednesday, November 23rd , 2022 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the St. Louis Lions and the San Francisco Peanuts. As part of the deal, the Lions swapped 41-year old RHP Luke Whalen to the Peanuts getting 24-year old minor league 3B Nelson Cepeda in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. Lifetime Whalen has posted 164 victories and 125 defeats with a 3.69 ERA. |
