Cup Qualifier Game 1 Goes to El Paso, Thanks to Dunham
The El Paso Diablos started the Cup Qualifier in style, downing the visiting Philadelphia Keystones at Inferno Field by a score of 9-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Diablos shortstop Shaun Dunham went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

Dunham had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth to put El Paso in front, 4-0. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run off Philadelphia pitcher Brandon Beech.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said El Paso manager Joe Peters.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Inferno Field in El Paso.
