Los Angeles Beats Denver in Extra Innings

Led by Jon Piotraschke, the Los Angeles Knights defeated the Denver Cutthroats, 7-4, in 10 innings. Piotraschke, a native of Gonzales, California, went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Knights. Picking up the save was Nick Jones. He's now 5 for 6 in save chances. With the win, Los Angeles has a record of 50-38. Denver falls to 42-46.
Piotraschke had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 3-1 slider from Junro Yano, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Knights a 7-4 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Piotraschke.
In postgame remarks, Piotraschke said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
