The Chicago Union downed the El Paso Diablos, 8-7, the largest share of the credit belonging to center fielder Jordan Blackwell. On the day, Blackwell was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Union. Chicago is now 46-42, while El Paso is 59-29.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Chicago. That's when David Waters hit a solo home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Tetsuhiro Kawakami to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
