Led by Alfredo Zamarripa, the Philadelphia Keystones defeated the Miami Sun Sox, 6-4. Zamarripa, a native of Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Keystones. Brandon Beech got the win, improving to 9-7. He worked 8.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Billy Morris, credited with the save, is now 18 for 22 in save opportunities.
Early in the game, Zamarripa had a 3-run home run for Philadelphia. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Keystones on top, 4-1.
Said Philadelphia manager Corey Anderson: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
The win boosted Philadelphia to 47-37.
