The Houston Mavericks pounded the Dallas Texans, 16-1, at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark. Bubba Marino, who finished 2nd in the PBC in triples with 5 in 2020, had a solid game. He went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Mavericks. With the win over Dallas, the Mavericks improved to 29-30.

Houston center fielder Carlos Rice contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put the Mavericks ahead, 4-0.
