San Francisco pitcher Ron Clous did his part in helping his team beat the Los Angeles Knights, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winning pitcher was Clous, now 1-0. He tossed 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. Raquel Lobato earned the save for San Francisco, his 8th.

In the top of the ninth, Jon Piotraschke stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Knights were trailing 4-2, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Raquel Lobato made a terrific pitch and Piotraschke grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Los Angeles comeback.
