Spirited fans greeted the Denver Cutthroats for their clash with the El Paso Diablos.

El Paso beat Denver at Cutter's Cove, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Ajani Fears. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jason Roether earned the win. Tyshawn Dortch, who is tied for 7th in the PBC in wins with 8, took the loss for Denver.

Fears had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 3-1 splitter from Tyshawn Dortch, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Diablos a 6-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Fears.

"It was a pretty good night," said Fears.

The Diablos have an impressive 37-16 record.
