The Lions Hearth was the site of a tense game between the St. Louis Lions and El Paso Diablos.

The El Paso Diablos had to overcome a good performance from St. Louis pitcher Kevin Schuerger to claim a 3-2 win at The Lions Hearth. Schuerger went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Omar Thomas closed it out for El Paso, earning his 5th save.

Eric Eriksen helped out the El Paso cause in the top of the sixth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Eriksen said (again).

El Paso improves to 50-24 with the win. They lead their division by 8 games.
