5-1 Win Gets Houston to 34-33
|
Spirited fans greeted the Denver Cutthroats for their clash with the Houston Mavericks.
Houston Mavericks starter Matt Beissel led his team to victory over the Denver Cutthroats, 5-1. The left-hander was locked-in. The win hiked the Houston record to 34-33.
It could have been a different outcome for Houston, had it not been for Josh Ball, the two-time All-Star . Ball contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Houston up, 3-1.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Ball, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
