Benefiting from Danny Santa Cruz's productive game, the Boston Shamrocks downed the Las Vegas Aces, 6-3. Santa Cruz was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Shamrocks. John Leew earned the win to go to 3-1. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. Andrew Chatman stitched up the save, his 5th.

Boston used the timely hitting of Ruben Silva to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Shamrocks on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Silva said.

Boston is now 20-26, Las Vegas 21-25.
