The Tampa Bay Thunder weathered an outstanding game by Washington designated hitter Tom Abraham to topple the Warriors, 9-7. Abraham was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Today's win puts Tampa Bay at 12-16, while Washington falls to 13-15.

Jesse Reynolds had a big 2-run home run for the Thunder in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Tampa Bay trailing 5-4 and a runner on 2nd, he got a cutter from Tom Mills and swatted a home run to center. It was his 17th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thunder ahead, 6-5.
