Cutthroats Top Texans in Extras, 3-2
|
The Denver Cutthroats knocked off the Dallas Texans, 3-2, at Cutter's Cove. It took 11 innings. Casey Batten was a prime reason Denver won. The first baseman slugged 2 home runs. Denver reliever Junro Yano picked up the win, while Mark Catlett took the loss for Dallas. Denver, now 14-6, has stretched its winning streak to 11 games.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jaivata Nagi in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Mark Catlett to win the game for Denver. The home crowd went nuts.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Dallas manager Jesus Sanchez.
