Knights Drop to .500 After 4-3 Loss to Lions
Paul Jones had a good game, but he could not keep the Los Angeles Knights from falling, 4-3, to the St. Louis Lions at The Lions Hearth. The Los Angeles first baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 in the loss. Ron Clous was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Picking up his 2nd save was four-time All-Star Jack Reynolds.

The Lions got a big at-bat from designated hitter Chris Khaled. For the game, Khaled went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave St. Louis a 2-0 lead.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Khaled. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

With the win, the Lions sit at 11-9.
