Season-Ending Injury for Alex Segovia Saturday, September 18th , 2021 The season is apparently over for Alex Segovia. The New York City (R) Blues medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 5 months with a fractured coracoid bone in his shoulder. Segovia was hurt in the game against St. Louis (R) while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. Crunching the numbers on Segovia for the year, he has made 18 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 3-0 won-lost mark and 4.67 ERA. In pitching 52 innings, he has totaled 46 strikeouts and 40 walks. |
