Valbuena Smacks 5 Hits for Texans Saturday, September 18th , 2021 It was almost a perfect day for Johnny Valbuena. The Dallas (R) catcher displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Texans lost to the San Francisco (R) Peanuts, 4-3. Valbuena told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." Dallas (R) manager John Roe told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
