Walter Thurley Hurt, Out for Year Thursday, September 9th , 2021 The season is finished for Walter Thurley of the Philadelphia (R) Keystones. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Keystones starting pitcher suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Boston (R) Shamrocks. Team doctors said it would take at least 13-14 months to heal. This season, Thurley has a 0-4 record with a 4.76 ERA in 13 starts. |
