Villalva Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Sunday, August 22nd , 2021 Ivan Villalva of the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder tagged 1 hit in today's 5-4 loss to the Washington (R) Warriors at PBC Rookie Development Complex to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Ivan Villalva hit a solo-shot off Mike Mulvihill in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This season, Villalva is batting .350 with 6 home runs. He has scored 45 runs and driven in 37. |
