Tester Blisters Tampa Bay (R) Tuesday, August 3rd , 2021 The Atlanta (R) Pilots stopped the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder by a score of 10-6 at PBC Rookie Development Complex, with the lion's share of the credit going to shortstop George Tester. The 19-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Tester said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Tester did just that in his 8 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Thunder. "Not much that I can say," offered Tampa Bay (R) manager Brandon Land. "He just hammered the heck out of us." George Tester struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Manny Chavez in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Tim Powell in the 8th, struck out in the 10th, singled in the 13th and hit a solo-shot off David Bermudez in the 14th.
