Diablos Hernandez Out Rest Of Season Friday, July 2nd , 2021 When Mario Hernandez was hurt against the St. Louis (R) Lions, the El Paso (R) Diablos were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 17-year-old starting pitcher suffered bone chips in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Hernandez would miss 7-8 months of the season. On the season, Hernandez has compiled a 3-1 mark with a 1.73 ERA in 5 starts. In pitching 26 innings he has 22 strikeouts and 5 walks while limiting the opposition to a .237 batting average. |
