2021 R Pitcher of the Year Award Announced Saturday, October 30th , 2021 It was a glorious year for Steve Bender of the Dallas (R) Texans. He finished the season with 3 victories and only 7 losses, with an impressive 2.47 ERA. The talented Texans pitcher started 22 games and struck out 108 batters in 98.1 innings and won the PBC Rookie Complex League Pitcher of the Year Award. "It means a lot," Bender said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 18. Mike Mosher of the Toronto (R) Titans finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Felix Rodriguez of the Denver (R) Cutthroats finished third.
