Rookie Complex League West Division Winner is Houston (R) Mavericks Friday, October 1st , 2021 The Houston (R) Mavericks feel they will be riding a wave of momentum after clinching the Rookie Complex League West Division title in the final game of the season. "We showed our true character to get this done so late in the season," said reliever Jose Pagan. "It's certainly a relief - better late than never." The club's 54-34 record is what has led to the 4th division title in team history. Team manager Tom Smolar had an ear-to-ear grin when the clinch became official. "That's a weight off my shoulders, that's for sure," he said. "It's time to bring the 2nd Championship Cup championship to Houston (R)." |
