R's Best Batter Selected Friday, October 1st , 2021 Ignacio Tavira is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Denver (R) shortstop joined that select company when the PBC Rookie Complex League announced the results of September's voting. Tavira totaled 42 hits, 15 walks, 8 home runs, 31 RBIs and 23 runs scored last month to put together a .447 batting average and .518 on-base percentage. Currently Tavira is batting .363 with 123 hits and 17 home runs. He has knocked in 80 runs and scored 71 times. |
