2021 WAC Pitcher of the Year Award Announced Thursday, September 23rd , 2021 Generally, the Pitcher of the Year Award goes to a starting pitcher. For someone in the bullpen to receive this honor, he has to be something special. Well, Nelle Joziasse of Tulsa was very special this year. He was announced today as the 2021 Western Amateur Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award winner. The talented Twisters relief expert dominated with 16 saves in 17 tries. Joziasse finished the season with 12 wins and 7 losses, a 2.25 ERA and 136 strikeouts in 159.2 innings, allowing 132 hits, 48 walks and a .228 OBA. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ryan Bennett of the Yuma Gnomes finished second in voting, while Chris Trosper of the Dallas Bulls finished third.
