Pitcher of the Year Award Goes to Phipps Thursday, September 23rd , 2021 The Eastern Amateur Circuit announced today that Arthur Phipps has been chosen the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for 2021. The Manchester starter had everything working for him this past season as he soared to a 9-0 record. In his exceptional season Phipps chalked up a 2.15 ERA in 104.2 innings with 92 strikeouts and 34 walks. Enemy teams hit .244 against him in his 19 starts. He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 20. Taylor Moeller of the Manchester Monarchs finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Malcolm Willis of the Providence Grays finished third with 3 first place votes.
