Boston's Beckett Down with Injury Sunday, August 29th , 2021 Doctors in Boston said Martin Beckett might not play anymore this year. The Battalion center fielder suffered a torn calf muscle during a game against the St. Petersburg Pelicans and will be out for at least 4-5 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season. So far in 2021 Beckett is batting .273 with 5 home runs, 37 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 205 at-bats and a .366 OBP. |
