Ortega Pounds 3 HR Sunday, August 1st , 2021 It was a good day for the Tulsa Twisters and an exceptional one for Jose Ortega. The 24-year-old shortstop sent three bombs out of the park to help the Twisters beat the Yuma Gnomes, 8-7, at Yuma Grounds. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Ortega said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats.
