WAC Top Pitcher for July Picked Sunday, August 1st , 2021 Most of the time the starting pitchers get the glory, but not this month. A reliever, Tim Dougherty, has been named the Pitcher of the Month in the Western Amateur Circuit. In July, the Yuma bullpen ace starred with 3 saves in 12 relief appearances, logging 21.2 innings, 18 strikeouts, 6 walks and a 0.83 ERA. Dougherty finished the month with 4 wins and no losses -- and captured the trophy as the league's number one pitcher. To date, his season stats show Dougherty has 3 saves with a 4-0 mark and 2.51 ERA. |
