Gonzalez suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the St. Petersburg Pelicans are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Gonzalez's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Gonzalez has taken the mound for 5 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-0 record with a 10.00 ERA. The St. Petersburg reliever has limited opposing batters to a .306 batting average. |
