Jackson Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Friday, July 2nd , 2021 It was almost a perfect day for Gabriel Jackson. The New Orleans center fielder displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Buccaneers lost to the Arlington Stars, 8-5. Jackson told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." New Orleans manager Aaron Kayser told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." Gabriel Jackson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
