Best Starter Chosen by Eastern Amateur Circuit Thursday, July 1st , 2021 In June when the Providence manager wrote the name "Willis" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Malcolm Willis took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 4-0 mark and 1.50 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Grays star pitched 42 innings, fanned 39 and held opposing teams to a .201 average. For his outstanding mound performance Willis was named the EAC Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. This year, Willis has a 9-3 record and a 2.89 ERA. |
