Players Suspended in Grays-Monarchs Donnybrook Sunday, June 13th , 2021 After an intense confrontation, both the Grays Frank Flores and the Monarchs Taylor Moeller were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Providence-Manchester game. Frank Flores will miss 4 games, while Taylor Moeller was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Frank Flores commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season, Flores has banged out 45 hits in 221 at-bats for a .204 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .312 pace and his totals also include 27 RBIs and 28 runs scored. Thus far this season, Moeller has posted a 5-0 record, started 14 games, struck out 80 batters in 67.2 innings and compiled a 2.66 ERA. |
