Sherbrooke's Wermter Gets ESPC Player of the Week Monday, September 6th , 2021 Once you hit 35, it's hard to say how much time you've got left in baseball. Jim Wermter has been fortunate as his numbers for the past week bear out. The 37-year-old left fielder, a favorite in the Sherbrooke Canadians clubhouse, hit .455 last week as he put up Player of the Week numbers. Wermter also put together 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 5 home runs and 11 RBIs for the week. For the year, Wermter has hit at a .268 clip with 45 RBIs, 14 home runs and 41 runs scored. |
