McCormick on a Hot Streak, WSPC Player of the Week Monday, August 23rd , 2021 Once you hit 35, it's hard to say how much time you've got left in baseball. Matthew McCormick has been fortunate as his numbers for the past week bear out. The 35-year-old shortstop, a favorite in the Edmonton Drillers clubhouse, hit .538 last week as he put up Player of the Week numbers. McCormick also put together 14 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs for the week. This year, McCormick is batting .281 with 133 hits, 9 home runs, 64 RBIs, 36 walks, .338 OBP and has scored 60 runs. |
