Calgary-Ottawa Announce Deal Saturday, November 20th , 2021 Signed ... sealed ... and delivered. Calgary has worked out terms of a deal to send 18-year old minor league C Julio Esparza, 19-year old minor league CF Jeorge-ValJhong Nalicat, and 24-year old 1B Danny Guerra to Ottawa for 29-year old RHP Malachi Shells and $4,160 in cash. Both teams expect to introduce their new players at press conferences later in the week. Ottawa will retain a portion of Shells's remaining contract. In his lifetime, the 29-year-old Shells has won 5 and lost 8, piling up 118 strikeouts and 43 walks in 119 innings with a 4.69 ERA. Opponents have hit .305 against him. |
