Chargers Move on to Circuit Championship Series Wednesday, September 29th , 2021 Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit pundits who figured the Play-in Series between the Detroit Chargers and Newark Eagles would go the distance were right on the mark. The two teams battled back and forth in a spirited series, with Detroit coming out on top thanks to a 7-2 win in the deciding game at Eagles Park, to wrap things up 2-1. "You get to the last game and anything can happen, so we're overjoyed to come out on top," said Chargers shortstop Jose Diaz, who was named series MVP. For the series, Diaz had 8 hits for a .615 average. He had 2 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 6 runs.
